Its been some time since I posted anything substantial. first of all, new art:
I'm a few months in my internship right now, working fulltime at Justdesign. Nice people, lots of oppertunities given. I must say that its quite hard to deal with the rest of my life, I'm busy five days a week, and when i get home all I want to do is draw, its practicly the only thing that keeps me sane. The biggest downside is that I just cant find energy to do freelance jobs, it has ruined my income, I make like 70% less money these days, boooo. So anyway, I will be applying for another internship next month. My teacher recommended me to check out artbox, thereps (both illustration agents/studio's and 2 game developers.
Before all that is going to happen, I'll definitly have to redo my portfolio, I have made a new logo already and the new site is well on its way. My personal life is dead. but thats nothing new. Love life? huh? Oh and to make updating easier on this thing, I got myself, flock Its a social browser or whatever. well it makes updating easier without having to go to websites
also, looooook what I got at work:
its a wacom cintiq, fuck its the best shit EVER. there are a few downsides, but its really fun to play around with, and it increases precision alot.
also, I have painting classes each monday, its helping alot, Im finally learning how to paint with oils and acrylic.
and for the last thing, a magazine add for van rietschoten design. Its going to be changed a bit, but this is the concept.

Ik ben met bas, vinesh en sabine uitgeweest op nieuwjaars nacht. Hier is een kleine samenvatting.
het eerste feest waar we naar toe gingen was in corazon. overdag's een luxe coffee tent ala coffee company maar dan beter, maar s'avonds een hippe club. goeie muziek leuke sfeer, duur drinken. daarna gingen we naar een underground feestje in een kraakpand van vrienden van mij. drinken was gratis. You do the math, vinesh en bas waren nog al aangeschoten, voor op de stoep bij vinesh thuis kreeg bas een breakdown. vinesh deed mee. Ik als gene die altijd nuchter is heb slim gebruik gemaakt van dit feit. het resultaat: 
Ik heb de griep, kut. volgende week begin ik bij justdesign te werken als vormgever/illustrator, ik ben nerveus, terwijl ik al eerder freelance werk heb gedaan voor ze. verder loop ik achter op al me opdrachten.
Oh my Cod.

I just finished this.
after looking for it for a while i noticed a few errors in the chest/neck and face.
but that isnt the most important thing what i wanted to do with the image. Im trying to sharpen my illustration skill. I really want to improve in this area, this image is a mere study
so my question is, What do you get from this image? how does it make you feel? What do you think it is about?

I made my own tshirt with transfer paper. I just painted with black water color, cut out some branches, iron on, and voila!

right now the colours may be to cluttered. but its almost done
I wanted the image to not feel right, sunder gave me the idea to mess with the composition and giving it some negative space and a heavy mass on the side.

My room is done
the wall are repainted in a light grey tone, new curtains are coming in
but the biggest of all, my new desk! i love it! no more drawing on the floor! its 2.4meters long, and has a build in lightplate to make drawing a whole lot easier.
